David Kay, Managing Partner
- Mr. Kay was a founder of Capital Automotive REIT (the “company”). He held the positions of Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Chief Investment Officer during his 16+ year tenure.
- Capital Automotive is the nation’s leading specialty finance company for automotive retail real estate. Under his direction, Capital Automotive completed its initial public offering in 1998 raising $370 million and completed nearly $3 billion of real estate acquisitions in the following 7 years.
- During 2004, Mr. Kay completed a restructuring of the company’s balance sheet in excess of $1 billion and received investment-grade ratings from Moody’s Investor Service and Standard & Poor’s. In December 2005, Mr. Kay led the company through the largest REIT privatization totaling nearly $4 billion. In 2009, and 2001, Mr. Kay oversaw two restructurings totaling approximately $4 billion of the company’s debt.
- President and CEO of VEREIT, Inc. (NYSE: VER), formerly American Realty Capital Properties, one the largest net lease real estate investment trusts in the world. Oversaw more than $30 billion of net lease and multi-tenant real estate throughout the country.
- Responsible for providing strategic direction, executing transactions, and leading the operations of the company. Responsible for investor, media and analyst relationships, which included quarterly conference calls, investor presentations and speeches, large client interactions, investment banking interface and strategic partner relations.
- Responsible for the merger integration of Cole, an $11 billion acquisition. Led the company through a transformative capital restructuring which included a $1.5 billion equity raise, a $3.5 billion new credit facility, and a $2.55 billion unsecured bond offering, ultimately resulting in achieving investment-grade ratings from Moody’s Investor Service and Standard & Poor’s.

Net lease real estate executive with extensive acquisition and disposition experience. Has transacted more than $20 billion of net lease real estate.
Carrington Guy, Managing Partner
- Over the course of his career, Mr. Guy has been involved in over $20 billion of real estate transactions ranging from granular, one-off purchases to portfolio transactions to M&A deals.
- Co-founder and head of the net lease platform at Biproxi, a one-stop shop for commercial real estate sales and leasing. Biproxi empowers brokers to find more buyers and sell properties faster and is powered by the data on 32 million commercial real estate properties.
- Served as Managing Partner of ACRE Capital Real Estate, LLC, a full-service real estate investment management firm focused on the acquisition, management and disposition of single-tenant real estate assets that are net-leased on a long-term basis to creditworthy corporations.
- Executive Vice President of Real Estate at VEREIT, Inc. (NYSE: VER), formerly known as American Realty Capital Properties. Responsibilities included originating, underwriting and evaluating single-tenant, freestanding, long-term net-leased, investment grade or creditworthy opportunities. Participated in every step of the acquisitions process from property identification to transaction negotiation to due diligence to closing. Served on VEREIT’s Investment Committee, which reviewed each asset to be acquired or disposed to ensure alignment with the company’s investment objectives.
- Served in a similar capacity for American Realty Capital on behalf of its family of managed REITs.
- Mr. Guy earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from New York University Stern School of Business.

Michael J. Rebibo, Managing Partner
- Entrepreneur in the finance industry with a history of successfully launching, operating and selling financial services organizations. Over a 30-year career, has developed expertise in commercial and mortgage banking, wealth management and investing.
- Founding Director of Trustar Bank, the first de novo Commercial Bank created in Virginia since 2008. The bank raised $55 million in start-up capital and opened in July 2019.
- Founded 1st Portfolio Wealth Advisors and 1st Portfolio Lending, both financial services companies that provided wealth management and mortgage banking services, and later sold to WashingtonFirst Bank (NASDAQ: WFBI) in 2015, and subsequently sold to Sandy Spring Bank (NASDAQ: SASR) in 2017. Served as President of both the Wealth Management and Mortgage Banking subsidiaries of WashingtonFirst Bank.
- Co-founder of Ategra Capital Management, LLC, a focused equity hedge fund that invests primarily in the banking sector.
- Co-founder of Access National Corporation (NASDAQ: ANCX), a national bank with $3 billion in assets, which was sold to Atlantic Union Bank (NASDAQ: AUB) in 2019. Served as a senior executive of the bank, and as CEO of Access National Mortgage.
- Holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from James Madison University. He also maintains his CFP® designation.
Benjamin Slitor

Commercial real estate and corporate finance specialist with extensive experience in acquisitions, credit analysis, and deal structuring.
Benjamin Slitor, Vice President
- Commercial real estate and corporate finance specialist focused on all aspects of the pre- and post-investment life cycle.
- Prior to joining Jera Partners, was Director in the Business Development Finance group at HMSHost where he focused on growing its real estate portfolio of airport and motorway concessions through competitively bid RFPs, lease extensions and M&A opportunities.
- Prior to HMSHost, Ben spent his career in New York City working for Barclays Capital, Deloitte and a boutique distressed advisory firm where he focused on various corporate finance activities.
- Outside of his role at Jera Partners, Ben acquires multifamily assets with a particular focus on workforce housing.
- Graduated with a BA in finance from James Madison University.
